So life is still crazy and we don't really know where we will be in a few months.... but I'm happy.
First of all, I've fallen in love with my crazy children! They are wild, and "unmanageable" (as our coach said) but they are wonderful! I've been having parent conferences this week and I'm about half way through. Seeing their family environment just makes me want to hug them all day. I think I can only count three or four of my children who have both parents at home. I don't think some of them get told they are loved... so I will do it! I've also gotten a kick out of the revelation that my boy to girl ratio is INSANE! I have 11 boys and only 6 girls, and two of the girls don't really talk much. Every time it's show and tell or time to talk about things we like, the conversation always turns to Transformers. I'm hoping that this is helping prepare me if Eric and I have boys. It's a lot of fun! Today we made "headbands" for the letter H and they turned into "King's Hats." So as I was finishing them I was saying "King Tyler, King Kaemon" and so on. So since we were talking about Kings and things, I decided to read them Cinderella. All my boys groaned, but I told them that since we ALWAYS talk about Transformers I was going to read something that the girls would enjoy, and then I bet them that if they really listened they would like the story too. And I was right! Those sweet little, wild, aggressive boys, listened and were actually interested! It was so cute! (even though I got an "EEEEWWW" out of them when the Prince kissed Cinderella) So, the point of all of this... I love my boy dominated class... I love the girls in there too, but my boys just seem to take over. I still don't think I can get a sub to come twice though (they swear they are too wild) but I love them! Oh one more thing about my class... at the end of the day today, I was telling them that I loved them and that I would miss them (Monday is a holiday for them) and I blew them kisses, and I got another "EEEWWWWW, Kisses are for girls!" I love them! I really really hope Eric and I have at least one boy!
As far as our living situation for December.... that's a sore subject. We were thinking of buying a house.... but now we have decided to wait a bit longer. (I'm still a little sad about the whole situation) BUT the Lord is good, we have a very bright rental possibility. And all in all, we will be together with Gus... and that's what matters. (Keep praying for us please though... the place we think is going to work, depends on the people living there now)
I feel like the Lord is teaching me a specific lesson right now. How to forgive even when people don't apologize. My pride says, NO, you hurt me, you wronged me, you OWE me! But the Lord says, to forgive.... I've been reading lots of scripture about forgiveness lately. I let myself get carried away, I think of arguments to say to that person that I'm mad at, I think of ways to avoid seeing that person, and it's bad! I can feel myself dwelling on how I think I've been wronged.... instead of on the blessings that the Lord has given me! I think I've always had a problem with this, but the Lord has used three separate situations within the last year to show me that I need to forgive b/c I'm called to, b/c the Lord forgave me... even if I don't get an apology!
So I ask for prayers... that I will set down my pride and let the Lord mold me into the forgiving woman he wants me to be.
To the person/people I'm mad at.... I forgive you. No buts... (even though I can think of 20 right now, and my sinful nature is saying "NO don't give this up") I know I will never get an apology, but I'm ok with that, b/c I know you are a brother/sister in Christ, and I love you for that. I forgive you!
That's it, no more grudge!
