Today has been WONDERFUL! I had a nice relaxng morning with my sweet Gus man. We drank coffee and watched Law and Order. :) Then I met the girls from small group at McAlisters for lunch. I am so glad that we joined their group! I was thinking about how a few months ago I felt so lonely and disconnected and now I've made a ton of new friends through our group! We stayed for a good hour just girl talking! It was great! Then I headed over Walmart to do our shopping for next week and to get (cue the exciting music) our new TV/computer moniter! :) We decided that since our lab tops are kind of dying and getting old, and since we are now offically adults we need a desk top. So, Eric did his research and found out that the best thing to do would be to get the tower computer but use a HDTV that has computer connections as our moniter. This way he can use the TV for his xbox, we can watch TV on it, and it will be used with the computer! Also, it makes the study so much more functional. Instead of having a desk AND a TV stand and massive TV, we now just have the desk. AND when we do have a baby and have to make the guest room into a nursury (in a LONG time, don't get any ideas out there!) we can fit the guest bed in the study and just combine those to rooms. Anyways, all that to say, I am now typing this using our AWESOME new Gateway computer and pretty 26 inch TV screen. Fun! :)
After I got back from the walmart trip, I began the long process of making some white bread. Now, this was my first time making any kind of bread that needed to rise and all that jazz, so this was a big deal. I have always been so intimidated by people who can make breads and rolls and all that wonderful stuff! But I did it!! And it wasn't that bad! It's a long process but it's not stressful at all! So, I made my two pretty loaves and they turned out yummy! (I would post a picture but haven't uploaded them to this computer) Maybe later this week!
By the time the bread had risen (twice) and I put it in the oven Eric was home and setting up our new TV. Then we went and had a yummy dinner at Chipotle and went to get the computer.
While Eric set up the computer I made rice-krispy egg treats covered in chocolate to take to my in-laws for Easter. You know, it's the ones that the mom is making with her little girl on the commercial. (can't wait to do this with my kids by the way!) They turned out cute and I can't wait to show them off! (again, I will try and post a picture of them later)
So, I'm sure you wanted all of that play by play of my day off. I hope everyone has a wonderful Easter weekend remembering what our Savior did for us!
Here are a few other randon fun things that have happed lately:
- Pampered Chef party was a HUGE hit! We had 17 ladies come and I am going to get $265 in free product!
- Eric has started softball again :) We took Gus to the first game, only to find out that dogs wern't allowed, so me and Gus sat outside the fence and watched. It was fun! :)
- My folks came up for the weekend :) Got to catch up with them and Gus got to show off a bit :)
- Spring break was wonderful and relaxing... now just 9 more weeks till the summer
