Goodbye 49th Street

The time has FINALLY come! Time to leave our first place together and move on to a new place where our sweet puppy boy is welcome! We've had a long 3 months of waiting and planning and searching to find the Lord's will and he has blessed us immensely! So the count down is now, 2 days.... two of teaching and then one last night here. Thank you Lord for showing us where you want us for the next year, thank you for Jon and Suzie's willingness to help so we could keep Gus, thank you for teaching me to trust you again through this process.

So, as promised... here is my goodbye to 49th Street. Now, I'm not as attached to this house as I was the blue car, (and I'm a bit bitter about this house now) so I'm not sure what will come out during this goodbye.... but here goes.

Oh, little house with the green door. I remember the day we first saw you. We were engaged, excited about what was to come, and ready to start our lives together. Now, a year later we have learned so much while in your walls. We have had lots of fun; dancing in the living room, watching lots of movies together, doing HOURS and HOURS of dishes. (b/c of course you do not have a dishwasher or a disposal.) We had lots of hugs and smiles. We were able to invite friends and family over and serve them food and fun. I've learned lots of new things to cook (and bake in your oven that can't decide what temperature it wants to stay at). We brought home a new car (our first big purchase together) and a sweet puppy (that led to us leaving). I will always remember how I hated the Ivy on the front porch and how getting rid of it was my first project here. I will remember how I had my first gardening experience here. (We won't talk about how that went). I want to tell you, while we are not leaving on the best of circumstances, you were a good house! I was proud that while you were small, you were our home. The Bonsteads home! I hope that your next owners, whoever they will be, will be nice and kind to you. So as our time here comes to a close, I want to say... Goodbye 49th street house.

Ok that's all I've got. It didn't bring me to tears or anything like that. But it was a good house while we were here. I left out some things that I won't miss:

-no dishwasher
-the neighbors that have A MILLION cars! and block our drive way
-no disposal
-the chain length fence in the back
-the car port

I'm excited to be going. I just can't wait to have our sweet Gus boy back with us! I feel like we have had weekend custody over him, and I can't wait to get him in a good solid routine. I'm not sure when I'll be able to update again. It all depends when our Internet and stuff gets transferred over. But I'll be sure and post of pictures of the new place and Mr. Gus running around when I can get back on. Till then... I hope everyone has a WONDERFUL thanksgiving!

-Bon

PS: The BIG thing I'm thankful this year (one of many): my family. The little family of me, Eric and Gus... the family that I married into, and my own family in Austin. I'm thankful, SOOO very thankful for people like them that love me, and are always there if I need them. (ok now I'm getting teary) Thanks you guys! Love ya!!
